Goal
To cope with and move on from traumatic events
Resilient people understand that setbacks happen and that sometimes life is hard and painful. They still experience the emotional pain, grief and a sense of loss that comes after a traumatic event, but their mental outlook allows them to work through those feelings and recover.
Try the following. Regular use will effect positive change in your habits. Before long, it will become second nature. If this doesn't suit you, try another.
Accept the unchangeable
HOW
Write down past issues that affected you and then scrunch up the paper and throw it in the bin.
WHY
Research has shown that putting negative thoughts on paper can help reduce stress caused by those thoughts. Throwing the paper in the bin symbolises an end to the past and helps you to move on from the setback.
